DescriptionThe University of Texas at Austin, Department of
Educational Psychology is seeking a tenure-track, open-rank faculty
member in the Quantitative Methods program in the area of Applied
Data Analytics. The faculty will conduct research related to
applied data analytic techniques used to improve educational and
health outcomes, such as data mining, predictive modeling, and text
analytics. The mission of the Quantitative Methods program is to
offer training in modern statistical and psychometric methods to
prepare graduates to advance methodological research and to apply
these methods to address educational, health, and social science

Educational Psychology has robust graduate programs and is

* Ph.D. in Data Science, Data Analytics, Quantitative Methods,
Quantitative Psychology, Statistics, Applied Statistics, or a
closely related field earned by July 31, 2026. * Strong potential
or proven record in scholarly leadership and teaching in Applied
Data Analytics, which may include data mining, text analytics
(e.g., natural language processing, sentiment analysis, topic
modeling), dynamic data analytics (e.g., longitudinal or
time-series analysis), social network analysis, and/or data ethics
and management. * Strong potential or proven record in securing
extramural research funding. * Experience or capacity to teach and
mentor undergraduate and graduate students from a wide range of
backgrounds and advance the College's mission. As a venue for
