Job DescriptionCOMMERCIAL NETWORK ENGINEERVyve Broadband strives

Commercial Network Engineer is to enhance the customer experience
by implementing and supporting an enterprise class network focused
on resiliency and scalability. This position will own the
Commercial Network responsibilities generating growth and evolution
plans in support of Vyve's data and voice services over Fiber
technologies by configuring high quality solutions that serve
enterprise customer service requirements.As a Commercial Network
Engineer, this member of the team is a point of contact for
cross-functional Vyve engineering groups involved in developing and
delivering advanced commercial services that adhere to leading
industry specifications and standards. Participates as part of a
dynamic team in implementing plans and activities that drive
product enhancement and standards to deliver a positive customer
experience. This position reports directly to the Director of
Commercial Network and Support.Duties and responsibilities include
the following: Performs engineering activities with specific
knowledge and skills associated with the following technologies:o
IP routing protocols including OSPF, ISIS, BGPo Multi-Protocol
Technologies: LDP, RSVP, MPLS-TEo IP Protocols: TCP, UDPo Ethernet
Technologies: GigE, 10 GigE, 100 GigE, VLANs, 802.1Q, 802.1P, VRRP,
HSRPo QoS Capabilities: classification, marking, queuing, policing
Executes detailed network designs, specifications, and
architectural plans for Commercial IPNetwork architectures Tests
and validates functionality, management and performance for
existing and newtechnologies supporting metro IP architectures
Designs and tests for IP service integration including various
voice, video, and data over IPservices that must function over the
Vyve nationwide IP network Determines, tests, and validates code
functionality to be used in the production network forCommercial IP
routers and various Ethernet switches across multiple vendors
Makes specific recommendations and assists in implementation of
plans that enhance technical operation, compliance with rules and
regulations, and permit the deployment of newtechnology Supports
deployments of new Commercial services with installation,
configuration, integration,evaluation, testing, documentation, and
training Partners with change management for impact
identification, network validation, MOP creationand execution of
activities Define and compile the methods of procedures and
documentation to support personnel in theinstallation, maintenance,
and removal of network equipment Provides detailed engineering
support and consultation to other departments. Completes
miscellaneous duties or projects as assignedKnowledge, Skills and
Abilities: Knowledge of network design and architecture Technical
knowledge and experience with deployment of PON and dedicated fiber
networks Experience with routing, switching, and transport
configuration and implementation Proficiency in Microsoft
applications including Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Highly organized and detail oriented Demonstrated problem solving
and analytical thinking skills Excellent collaborative skills to
work effectively with teams throughout organization Must have
excellent verbal and written communication and organizational
skills. Demonstrate the urgency to effectively resolve customer
issues Thrives in a fast-paced work environment Abide by all Vyve
policies and standards as described in the employee handbookand by
management.Working Conditions: Regularly sits and stands during
working hours for prolonged periods. Regularly work in an office
setting with and around co-workers and computerequipment.
Regularly performs job functions in an individual remote
settingQualifications:Education:Bachelor's degree in a related
field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and
experienceIndustry and/or vendor-specific certifications and
training such as Cisco, Juniper, and CienaExperience:3 years of
experience in network configuration and Carrier Ethernet services3
years troubleshooting and diagnostics experience3 years of
experience leading projects to enhance the network capability for
