Job Description Position Title: Senior Estimator Reports To: Chief Estimator Location: [Company HQ] Department: Estimating FLSA Status: Exempt Supervises: Estimators, Estimating Coordinators, and Bid Support Team Position Overview: The Senior Estimator is responsible for estimating across Extreme Steel and Superior Iron Works, with a deep focus on structural steel fabrication and erection. This role drives pricing strategy, bid accuracy, risk management, and client relationships to ensure competitiveness and profitability across project pursuits. The Senior Estimator will help lead a high-performing estimating team while aligning closely with operations, detailing, procurement, and field execution. This position is central to business development, margin expansion, and scaling the company’s footprint in the commercial, industrial, and infrastructure markets. Qualifications and Experience: • 15 years of estimating experience in structural steel or heavy industrial construction, including 5 years leading an estimating team. • Deep knowledge of structural steel fabrication and erection processes, connection design, and production capacity planning. • Expertise in interpreting architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings. • Proficiency with Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and related estimating tools. • Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
