West Fraser, a leading North American wood products company, is seeking a skilled Electrician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This position is critical for the operation and maintenance of electrical systems in our facilities, which produce a diverse range of products from lumber to renewable energy. The ideal candidate will contribute to our goals of operational excellence and sustainable management, helping to maintain our position as an industry leader. Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures ensuring that all work is in accordance with relevant codes. Diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems and components, identifying and mitigating potential hazards or malfunctions. Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure optimal operation and safety. Work collaboratively with other maintenance team members to ensure production line continuity and efficiency. Stay informed of the latest safety protocols and electrical codes, applying them diligently in all tasks. Participate in scheduled maintenance shutdowns, implementing improvements and upgrades as needed. Proficiency in testing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, circuit diagrams, and other technical documents. Strong knowledge of safety codes and regulations pertaining to electrical systems. Good communication skills for effective teamwork and documentation.
