more Unit Overview: Recently, we initiated an expansion of our
intensive care unit (ICU), which will increase its capacity by 75%,
adding six new beds to the existing eight. This project also
includes the development of an advanced care unit (ACU) and
additional space for a new surgical suite, allowing us to meet the
growing surgical needs of our community. Role Responsibilities:
Implement care plans, including administering medications,
collecting specimens, and providing clinical treatments. Maintain
accurate documentation of patient care. Monitor, record, and
communicate patient conditions to the care team, physicians,
patients, and families as necessary. Assist patients with daily
living activities, such as personal hygiene, nutrition, and
mobility. Collaborate with various disciplines to ensure
coordinated patient care, including transfers, discharges,
referrals, and addressing spiritual/psychosocial needs. Assess the
educational needs of patients and families, providing tailored
education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Act
as an advocate for the physical and emotional health of patients.
Essential Qualifications: Associate's Degree in Nursing, required
Current KY RN state licensure or compact licensure, required
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred Basic Life Support (BLS)
certification within 10 days of hire Advanced Cardiovascular Life
Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of hire Pediatric
Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 45 days of hire
Handle With Care training within 30 days of hire Equal Employment
