businesses And much more Unit Overview: As versatile professionals,
our Float RNs operate across all acute care units within the
hospital, ensuring smooth operations. The Float RN team delivers
direct patient care, utilizing the nursing process in line with
established standards and practices. Position Responsibilities:
Implement care plans, including administering medications,
collecting specimens, and providing clinical treatments. Maintain
accurate documentation of patient care provided. Monitor, record,
and communicate patient conditions to the care team, physicians,
patients, and families as necessary. Assist patients with daily
living activities, such as personal hygiene, nutrition,
elimination, and mobility. Collaborate with various disciplines to
coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges,
referrals, and addressing spiritual/psychosocial needs. Assess the
educational needs of patients and families, providing tailored
education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Act
as an advocate for the physical and emotional health of patients.
Oversee daily staffing assignments and levels, ensuring adequate
coverage. Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to staff,
including conducting performance evaluations and managing
disciplinary actions. Evaluate the quality of services provided and
facilitate staff development programs, ensuring compliance with
policies and procedures. Fulfill staff responsibilities as needed
to meet service demands. Lead the resolution of complex issues and
patient complaints. Minimum Qualifications: Associate's Degree in
Nursing, required Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred Current
RN license to practice in Kentucky At least 2 years of critical
care experience Certifications: BCLS; ACLS & PALS as per
