The technologist ensures patient safety and follows radiation protection guidelines. The role involves working closely with radiologists and healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. Patients are prepared and positioned appropriately for CT examinations. CT scanner equipment is operated to obtain diagnostic-quality images. Imaging procedures are clearly explained to patients and concerns are addressed professionally. Contrast media is administered when required while following established safety protocols. Radiation safety is maintained by adhering to ALARA principles. Patients are monitored during and after procedures to identify any adverse reactions. Images are reviewed for quality and completeness prior to submission for interpretation. Accurate patient records and examination documentation are maintained. Routine equipment checks are performed and any malfunctions are reported promptly.
