Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 02/09/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work 3x12 hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM • Every other weekend coverage required • Holiday coverage as needed • Patient ratios of 1:5-6 across all shifts • 72 hours of orientation provided • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required • First time travelers welcome • ACLS and BLS certifications required • Previous Charge RN experience preferred • Experience with MedHost charting system required • Must be comfortable caring for adult and geriatric patient populations • Block scheduling format • One pre-approved time off request allowed per contract • Skills required include telemetry monitoring, IV management, wound care, tracheostomy care, blood product administration, and various other medical-surgical competencies • Handle patient diagnoses including CHF, pneumonia, COPD, cellulitis, kidney disease, and electrolyte imbalances • Perform procedures such as NG/PEG tube management, IV antibiotics, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and CPAP/BiPAP setup Facility: This healthcare facility operates a 15-bed medical-surgical unit with comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including respiratory therapy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and lift teams. The facility maintains a typical daily census of 6 patients and provides a full range of medical-surgical services with specialty consultation support.
