Job Description:

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated Quality/Risk Director to join our dynamic team, focusing on enhancing patient care quality, safety and risk management across our network of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, home health, and hospice agencies. This strategic role involves leading the Quality Assurance and Risk Management programs, including the development, implementation, and evaluation of quality assurance policies, patient safety initiatives, and compliance with healthcare standards. The ideal candidate will provide visionary leadership and work collaboratively with other departments to ensure continuous quality improvement and minimize risks, thereby contributing significantly to the overall patient care experience and organizational success. Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance and risk management programs. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of quality and risk initiatives, adjusting strategies as necessary. Ensure compliance with all applicable health care laws, regulations, and standards. Lead multidisciplinary teams to foster a culture of continuous quality improvement and patient safety. Prepare and present reports on quality and risk activities to senior management. Investigate and analyze incidents, making recommendations to prevent future occurrences. Liaise with healthcare professionals and administrative staff to coordinate and enhance healthcare services. Conduct and oversee training sessions on quality improvement and risk management with staff. Strong leadership and organizational skills Expertise in healthcare laws, regulations, and accreditation standards Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in data management and analysis tools Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) beneficial Relevant clinical licensure (e.g., RN) may also be beneficial
