The emergency department maintains 24-hour physician and APP coverage to serve the community's acute care needs. The facility is equipped with standard emergency department resources and maintains appropriate staffing levels to support quality patient care. About the Facility Location Arkansas offers diverse outdoor recreation opportunities along the I-30 corridor including river activities at Buffalo National River and hiking trails. The region features unique attractions such as Crater Of Diamonds State Park where visitors can search for diamonds, along with museums and historic bathhouses. Extensive outdoor pursuits include kayaking, mountain biking, and rock climbing with multiple campgrounds and resorts providing accommodation options for exploring the natural landscapes and cultural sites throughout the area. About the Clinician's Workday The emergency medicine physician will provide comprehensive emergency care during day and night shifts at a Level III trauma facility. The clinician will work 8 or 12 hour shifts with no call requirements, managing approximately 2 patients per hour. Board certification in Emergency Medicine is preferred but negotiable, and prescriptive authority is required. The position involves standard emergency medicine procedures and managing diverse emergency department presentations.
