covered About the Opportunity She Recruits is seeking
board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Emergency Medicine
Physicians for an exceptional opportunity at a nationally
recognized pediatric healthcare campus in Austin, Texas. This
full-time role can be structured as either a permanent hire or a
locum placement, offering unmatched flexibility in a high-volume,
high-acuity environment. This is the only Level I Pediatric Trauma
Center across a 46-county region, delivering advanced care in a
state-of-the-art facility with robust clinical and academic
resources. Physicians here work alongside a talented team of
pediatric EM specialists, fellows, residents, and advanced practice
providers within a program that prioritizes growth, research, and
quality improvement. Role Highlights Pediatric Emergency Department
with 59,000 annual visits 45 ED beds with an admission rate of 16%
Shift structure: PEM physicians cover 8- and 9-hour shifts (56–81
hours of daily coverage) EMR: Cerner with CPOE and PowerNote
documentation Academic appointment available through The University
of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School Team includes 27 full-time
PEM attendings and 12–13 pediatric EM fellows Supervise residents
from pediatrics, EM, family medicine, and transitional programs RN
team certified in PALS, ACLS, TNCC, Pediatric SANE, and more Access
to an advanced simulation center and dedicated specialty care units
for congenital heart, NICU, and fetal care Professional Development
& Support Faculty supported in quality improvement, advocacy,
research, and education National Clinical Governance Board (NCGB)
oversight and 24/7/365 live physician support Access to
professional development programs including leadership training and
clinical efficiency academies Internal STAT traveling physician

and networking Qualifications Board certified or board eligible in
Pediatric Emergency Medicine (Physicians) Advanced Practice
Providers must be a BC PA or PNP-Acute Care/FNP with at least two
years of pediatric ED, urgent care, or critical care experience
Compensation & Benefits $160-190/hour base pay $60,000 sign-on
