This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program
(EDRP), a student loan reimbursement program. If selected for this
position you must meet specific individual eligibility
requirements, and submit your application with in four months of
appointment. The final award amount (up to $200,000) and
eligibility period (one to five years) is determined by the VHA
Education Loan Repayment Services Office.
- Performs and records history and physical examinations and
records data from clinic visits.
- Evaluates, consults, develops diagnosis, and manages the
primary care panel of patients assigned.
- Enters progress notes in computerized medical record and
completes workload documentation in a timely manner.
- While history and physical exams will typically be conducted
during the direct face-to-face appointment, Video telehealth (VVC,
CVT) training is required. As appropriate, telehealth visits will
be offered and completed to augment patient care.
- Provides medical care encompassing acute and chronic medical
conditions and all appropriate preventive care for both male and

If patient needs arise, the incumbent of the above position may be
reassigned within the Central Arkansas Veterans Health Care
System.To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all
requirements by the closing date of this announcement,
- United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed
when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance
with VA Policy.
- Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting
from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The
degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by
the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course
of study was completed.
- (1) Schools of medicine accredited by the Liaison Committee on
Medical Education (LCME) for the year in which the degree was

Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA) of the American

surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United
States, or in the District of Columbia.
- Completion of residency training, or its equivalent, approved
by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core
specialty training program leading to eligibility for board

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is desired. If
selected for this position, per VHA Directive 1177, you must
possess current BCLS certification as you will provide direct
clinical care to patients in this position.
Completion of a two year residency training program in internal
medicine, MedPeds, or Family practice, approved by the Secretary of
Veterans Affairs in an accredited training program leading to
eligibility for board certification.
