Job Description Job Description Field Service Technician – Central Texas (Travel Role) Short?Term Project | March–April $25/hr Paid Travel | Contract We are hiring a Field Service Technician for a short?term, store?by?store retail hardware deployment across Central Texas , including: San Antonio, New Braunfels, Live Oak, Sunset Valley, Austin, Round Rock, Georgetown, Leander, Kyle, Pflugerville, Waco, Killeen, Temple, and College Station. Before You Apply Do NOT apply if: You do not have reliable transportation You are not willing to travel throughout the Central Texas region listed above This role is ideal for someone who enjoys driving, visiting new locations, and working independently. ? Job Overview You will travel to assigned retail stores to complete payment?device hardware upgrades following a clear, step?by?step playbook. What You’ll Do Replace legacy PIN pads with M450 devices Route, secure, and clean up cabling Test and validate device functionality with store leadership Complete verification forms and upload documentation Capture required photos at each register Requirements PC Technician or Field Service experience Strong troubleshooting and installation skills Ability to follow detailed instructions Cable management experience preferred Must pass a 7?year lived background check Tools Needed Bring Your Own: Screwdriver set Box cutter Tamper?proof bit set Wire cutters Provided/Expensed: Velcro straps Zip ties Mounting tape Alcohol wipes Travel Pay Mileage paid for travel beyond 50 miles or 1 hour Hotel covered for longer routes Per diem for approved overnight stays Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Austin, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
