McPherson KS Job Description Summary The DC Team Member II is
responsible for determining daily work schedule via work board
instructions and receiving directions from Lead Team Member and
Supervisor; filling and completing customer orders according to
specified instructions; combining orders with same ship
identification numbers (ID); performing 6S activities; and
assisting and answering DC Team Member I as necessary. Must have
the ability to make necessary transactions in the WMS, on a desktop
or with RF gun, along with system trouble shooting pertaining to
the said transactions of the job function. Must be licensed and
proficient in numerous material handling equipment including
Forklift, Order picker and ride on Pallet Jack. What You'll Do:
Daily Schedule Performs daily tasks as identified by work board and
by receiving directions from Lead Team Member and Supervisor. Work
overtime as scheduled. Equipment Perform equipment inspection and
complete proper documentation before operating any equipment.
Report any defects or damage to supervisor immediately. Operates PI
equipment in a safe manner. List of equipment expected to utilize:
Order picker. Pallet Jack (Short and Long). Counterbalance (Stand
Up and Sit Down). Picking and Packing Picks inventory and places in
containers; transports to packing lanes; verifies quantity matches
with scanner instructions; moves product into final shipping
container; labels container to create final shipping unit; confirms
into Viad@t; transports to designated shipping area; ensures orders
are accurate and efficient, according to company’s established
guidelines and standards. Scans and picks coils and fittings
utilizing order picker according to customer orders. Picks and
labels straight lengths; transports to shipping docks utilizing
forklift. Assists with packaging of materials for shipping
according to specified instructions or customer requirements;
ensures all product/shipping labels are legible and accurate.
Manually loads coils and bundles onto trucks for shipping,
according to computer generated work order and/or verbal
instruction. Safety All employees are expected to comply with the
safety rules of their respective department and position, however
there are general safety guidelines that all employees are expected
to comply with. Employees are expected to report unsafe acts and
conditions utilizing SOSPES behavior-based safety observation
program. Slips, Trips and Falls When walking, be aware of unlevel
or elevated surfaces. Keep aisles clear. Use caution when walking
on wet surfaces and wipe up spills. Use the handrail on stairs. Use
only approved step stools and ladders. Do not stand on chairs.
Walk, don’t run. Report deficient conditions to the appropriate
maintenance department. Use caution when walking in parking lots.
Good Housekeeping Always maintain a clean and uncluttered work
environment. Do not overload wastebaskets. Safe Lifting Use caution
and proper techniques when lifting heavy objects. Ask for help.
Equipment Only use equipment that is in good repair. Report any
equipment hazards immediately to your supervisor/manager.
Monitoring Logistics Quality Facility and Equipment Care – Ensures
facility and equipment checklists are maintained; performs and
maintains cleanliness, 6S functions and forklift inspections prior
to operating equipment. Proactive Damage Control – Works toward
error proofing, recognizing problems before they happen;
communicates and notifies supervisor of potential problems and
helps eliminate the opportunity for future problems while
maintaining proper communication channels. Pallet Quality – Ensures
pallets are of high quality, including but not limited to
stability, quantity, label accuracy and general overall appearance;
ensures pallets are damage free and transported safely without
incident. Inventory Accuracy – Maintains accurate inventory levels;
resolves discrepancies as they occur; recognizes the opportunity
for error and takes appropriate action to eliminate it. Focus on
individual quality improvement and maintain highest quality
standards to ensure the customer receives all orders correct, on
time, and as requested. Work with leadership team to create
personal improvement plan for individual process or quality issues.
Contribute to any process changes in response to errors to the
customer. Correct and record Technical errors from manufacturing
and vendors. Support ISO9001 quality initiatives. Cleaning and Area
Upkeep Maintains clean work environment; may perform 6S activities
(sort, straighten, shine, standardize, sustain and safety) to
organize and manage distribution center. Other Answers questions
and assist DCTM I as needed. Performs other duties as required
and/or assigned. May be required to travel up to 10% of the time.

attitude with those you interact with; always going above and
beyond to help others out, regardless of their position or
department. Ability to adhere to the highest standards of quality
while continually performing at the highest possible level. Ability
to perform at or above DC individual performance metrics. Ability
to solve problems. Able to meet physical requirements of the job.
Education, Certification/License & Work Experience High School
Diploma or equivalent or combination of education and work
experience. 6 – 17 months of related experience. Warehouse
Management Systems experience preferred. Lean experience preferred.

Compensation Base: $21-22 hourly, based on specific compensable
factors including, but not limited to education, work experience,
and geographic market. Bonus: This role will be eligible for
participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to
which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based
on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
