West Fraser, a leader in the North American wood products industry, is seeking a skilled Electrician for our Engineering & Maintenance department. The ideal candidate will be integral to ensuring the efficient and safe operation of electrical systems and machinery within our production facilities. Our commitment to quality products and sustainable practices is reflected in our state-of-the-art manufacturing processes, where you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our capabilities. Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, ensuring that work is in accordance with relevant codes. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with electrical equipment at our wood product manufacturing facilities. Ensure that safety and sustainability standards are adhered to in all electrical installations and repairs. Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule preventative maintenance and minimize downtime. Assist in the installation and calibration of new manufacturing equipment. Conduct regular safety audits on electrical systems and recommend upgrades when necessary. Collaborate with a team of engineers and other professionals in continuous improvement projects. Proven expertise in industrial and maintenance electrical systems. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Proficiency in using electrical diagnostic tools and equipment. Knowledge of safety practices related to the manufacturing industry. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Electrician’s License (e.g., Journeyman, Master Electrician) is required. Certification in Industrial Electrical Safety, NFPA 70E, is an advantage.
