Job Description:
The ITS Applications Administrator will be primarily focused on
providing day-to-day support of enterprise applications;
identifying and implementing technical and process improvements
that enhances system availability, performance, and security.The IT
Application Administrator will work in conjunction with other ITS
members to support and maintain Arkansas Krafts IT infrastructure.
This position reports to the IT ManagerEssential Responsibilities
include, but not limited to:
- Plan, manage, and execute the implementation, maintenance, and
support of enterprise IT applications.
- Create and maintain training materials and user documentation
for software applications.
- Research operational processes/workflows and identify solutions
to resolve problems and/or improve efficiency.
- Prioritize issues and address time sensitive issues
promptly.
- Server and Desktop troubleshooting and proactive / preventive
maintenance.
- Service Request management - Identify, categorize, and organize
service requests according to priority and severity. Monitor queues
and managed services alerts.
- Provide technical support via on-call rotation, as
required.
- Studies existing information processing systems to evaluate
effectiveness and develops new systems to improve production or
workflow as required.
- Some local travel may be required.Essential Experience include,
but not limited to:
- Microsoft Windows 10, 2012 R2, 2016, and 2019 Operating
Systems
- Windows PowerShell scripting (Create scripts to simplify
procedures)
- Windows server roles including (but not limited to) Active
Directory Services, DNS, DHCP, Print and File server services.
- Microsoft Office 365 applications administration
- Understanding of networking fundamentalsMinimum
Qualifications:College degree in computer science or related field
or equivalent experience. At least 3 to 5 years experience with the
installation, configuration and support of IT enterprise
applications, servers, and peripheral equipment. Excellent customer
service and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on communication
skills both written and verbal. Excellent analytical and
problem-solving skills with a solid troubleshooting methodology
Able to lift 35 pounds (Servers, Computers, Network Hardware,
Cabling, etc.)Ability to work off-peak hours to respond to customer
needs and ensure availability of critical system.Preferred
Qualifications:
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- At least 2 years hand-on experience with SQL, including
reporting services and writing SQL queries.
