Job Description Job Description Psychiatrist - Inpatient PRN/Weekend Position Overview: The role of Inpatient PRN/Weekend Psychiatrist involves delivering empathetic psychiatric care to both adult and adolescent patients in a fully on-site environment. This part-time or moonlighting opportunity emphasizes crisis intervention and patient-focused treatment within a behavioral health facility that provides specialized programs, including addiction detox and women’s wellness. Applicants must possess an MD or DO degree, be board certified or eligible in General Psychiatry, and have or be eligible for a medical license in Texas. Position: Inpatient PRN/Weekend Psychiatrist — Moonlighting Location: Austin, TX 78745 Situated in the lively area of South Austin, our organization operates an 80-bed standalone behavioral health facility committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. We provide a comprehensive range of psychiatric services, including: Inpatient programs for adults aged 18 and older Specialized services for Women’s Wellness and Addiction/Detox Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) & Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) Position Details: Part-time or moonlighting coverage is required. Available shifts include weekend rounds, evening on-call, occasional holidays, or weekday coverage gaps. Patient demographics include both adults and adolescents. All rounding shifts are conducted in-person (no telehealth). Compensation is structured as fee-for-service 1099, with hourly or shift rates available. Qualifications: Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution (mandatory). Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Psychiatry (mandatory). Licensure: Must hold a current Texas medical license in good standing or be eligible to obtain one. Credentialing: Must fulfill the hospital's credentialing criteria.
